Hello

Welcome

I understand that it may be embarrassing to bring personal problems to a Therapist. There may also be a hopelessness that nothing can help. It  is my job to give hope and to develop options and solutions that create  change.

About Us

About Skip Meyer

I  have over 30 years experience helping couples to create change  and renegotiate their relationships to avoid divorce; heal from life  cycle events, affairs or addictions, and help blended families sort out  boundaries. With all this experience I believe there is a good chance I  can help you. You will learn alternative skills for resolving current  and repetitive conflicts. I specialize in couples and family therapy  resolving family of origin influences or dysfunctions, as well as impact  of traumas, life events, or loss.

Experience  treating: anxiety, depression, sexual issues, hopeless feelings, fears,  PTSD, work stress, feeling overwhelmed, anger and acting out behavior I  respect the unique challenges each family faces, frequently  communication patterns become rigid and quickly respond to negative  expectations, making simple talks almost impossible. People become  focused on the negative and lose sight of the positive aspects of one  another. Therapy is to help individuals or couples expand their options.

It  is understood that it may be embarrassing, and can sometimes be  connected to a sense of failure, to bring personal problems to a  Therapist. There may also be a fear of being blamed or a hopelessness  that nothing can help or create change. It is my job to give hope and to  develop options and solutions that create change; and to see our unique  problems differently.

30 years of experience working  with individuals, couples and families has provided me with a wealth of  knowledge and understanding that I can share to help others.
